After two weeks had passed, Harry was back to being a regular at the restaurant and at Hanna and Danny’s house too. Although Danny was cold with him at first, he eventually came around, but not properly. Hanna knew things would never go back to the way they were before.
Dougie knew Hanna had feelings for Harry. She’s told him in the morning after the New Year’s even outburst. She wouldn’t hide it anymore. If her brother wanted to believe she was still a child, then he could. But he couldn’t force her to hide the attraction she had towards Harry. He was back to eating at their house regularly.
Danny watched, pretending it wasn’t any different than how it was before, when Hanna would go around making special meals and desserts for Harry. But she saw the look of irritation when Danny would walk in the kitchen to find her laughing with Harry.
After months of sneaking around, she’d mastered a few things that drove Harry wild. He’d returned the favour, and they’d been so close to going all the way several times. She loved stripping down to nothing for him at his house, but the fear of pregnancy kept them from doing what she wanted to do so badly.
It wasn’t long until she turned eighteen. Years ago, he dad made a comment she never forgot. “You can’t have a boyfriend until you’re eighteen.” At the time, she thought it was completely silly. Now that it was only a few weeks away, it didn’t sound do bad. She couldn’t wait!
Though she and Harry were making the most of their stolen moments, and she was tired of lying about where she was going all the time. The sneaking was exciting, but they’d had too many close calls. She wanted to just say, “I’m spending the whole day with Harry. I won’t be back until late!”
More than anything, she wanted the stupid girls she would see all over him to know he was taken. They’d already had another argument about a girl who was all over him all the time, and even asked him to go to a party with her. Harry promised that if he wouldn’t go to the party with Hanna, he wouldn’t go at all. She didn’t want him to miss the party as it was a big one - a prom type thing with dressing up and that. Since Harry never went to the school prom, she wanted him to go, but him taking someone else to it was out of the question.
Dougie and Sarah were back together, and as inseparable as ever. It was a Friday night and all the guys and Sarah were over. They were out in the garage playing pool. Dougie and Sarah were cuddled up in the corner, while Danny and Tom played. Hanna stood next to Harry as usual, laughing with him. Danny glanced up from where he’d bent over, ready to take a shot. Hanna caught the glare they were receiving and smirked. “Who’s winning?”
Danny eased up on his glare, “Who do you think?”
“This isn’t my game,” Tom huffed. “Try me at bowling. Then you’ll lose!”
“You wanna go bowling tomorrow?” Tom looked around.
“No,” Dougie and Sarah replied in unison. “You have a fitting tomorrow.”
Dougie groaned. “That’s tomorrow?”
“A fitting for what?” Tom asked.
“His suit. Seeing as he’s too fussy to just buy one, we’re getting it made.” Sarah looked at Tom’s confused face. “For the ball slash party thing coming up,” She said.
“No shit,” Tom laughed. “You’re actually wearing a suit? What’s wrong with smart/casual?”
“Aren’t you?” Dougie stood up off his bar stool and walked over to the mini fridge next to the bar.
“You have to,” Sarah added.
“I don’t know if I’m even going.”
Tom turned to Harry. “You going?”
Hanna tensed up, waiting for his reply. He shrugged. “Depends.”
Tom glanced up from where he was ready to take a shot. “On what?”
Harry took a deep breath, glancing at Harry. “Whether Dan would let me take Hanna.”
Hanna almost choked on the chewing gum she had in her mouth. Danny, Dougie and Tom all stopped what they were doing and stared at him. Before they could answer, he added, “Otherwise I’m not going.”
Everyone seemed to hold their breath.
“We could go together,” Sarah suggested. “It’ll be fun.”
“Well, we’re all gonna be there so I’m okay with it,” Danny said, to everyone’s disbelief.
Hanna could hardly contain herself. She jumped off her bar stood and squeezed Danny.
“All right, all right,” he said, sounding as annoyed as she expected him to.
Just so she’d be able to get away with hugging Harry, she threw her arms around Tom and then Dougie. Finally, she came back to Harry, who gave her a warning look, but she hugged him anyway.
She knew her parents wouldn’t have a problem with it, either. They loved Harry.

‘The Prom’ was Harry’s first chance to make a statement about his and Hanna’s relationship. Harry made things crystal clear now that Hanna was taken . He’d seen enough eyebrows lift as they walked around, holding hands, to know people would be talking even after prom.
Dougie and Sarah were elected ‘Prom’s cutest couple’. It would have been a good thing if it wasn’t for Dougie’s ex, Tara. She had a few too many drinks, and she and the rest of her cheerleader friends decided to protest and demand a recount. It started to get a bit over the top when all of Sarah’s friends from the athletic team went to Sarah’s defence.
Tara and a few of her friends were actually escorted out during Dougie and Sarah’s dance.
The only mistake Dougie made was giving Tara a moment when she begged for it just outside the hall where the event was being held. Harry suspected that the tears streaming down Sarah’s face was to do with Dougie giving in - big mistake. Sarah walked away, with Hanna going after her.
Dougie only spoke to Tara for a moment before going after Sarah. She insisted she take her straight him. Of course, Dougie wasn’t having any of it. He asked Harry if he could just stay with Hanna for half hour or so, then meet up with them later at the lake. Harry wished Dougie good luck, and was off running after Sarah who had stormed off toward the car.
As usual, Hanna enjoyed tormenting Harry. There was a small area of surrounding trees where the lake was. The massive bushes that surrounded it rendered them virtually invisible to the rest of the world - especially in the dark.
With a blanket and a few beers in hand, they went to their secret place. Harry’s heart was beating twice as much as it usually would. Each time with her had become harder to resist, but they shouldn’t do what they both longed to do.
No sooner was the blanket laid out on the grass, they were on it, kissing hungrily. He loved the way Hanna was just as crazy as he felt when they were together. She drove him insane, yet she did nothing to hide her need for him.
Her hands were at the zipper of his trousers. “Hanna, baby, no, not here.”
“Why? No one can see us.”
“What if your brothers show up?”
Hanna frowned. “Sarah is so pissed off, I don’t blame her. That bitch, Tara, shouldn’t have started. Dougie should’ve told her to fuck off. They’ll be here, but it’s going to be a while before he convinces Sarah.”
Harry gulped as Hanna continued to unzip him. With that teasing look in her eye, she smirked and straddled him. Harry sat up with on hand on the blanket to support himself, and the other rested on her leg. “Baby, we can’t.”
“Just once,” she whispered, “don’t you wanna feel it, just one time?”
He wanted to feel it over and over with her, but this was insane! “I don’t have any protection.”
“We’ll stop before anything happens.”
Harry laughed nervously, “That’s something I’m meant to say, not you.”
Biting her lip, she gave him her signature sexy stare. The stare she knew he couldn’t resist. He gave in, letting his head fall back, every bit of rationality smothered by something a lot more powerful.
felt her warm and soft on him. She went very slowly, her eyes on him the whole time. She closed her eyes, pinching her brows in obvious discomfort. “You okay?”
She nodded, but didn’t answer and kept going. This wasn’t how he wanted their first time together to be, but no amount of resistance could stop this from happening now. He was too far gone.
“You sure?” He managed to get the words out, but even that was a struggle.
She nodded. Her eyes widened and she smiled.
Harry’s eyes closed briefly, taking in the feel of her as he breathed in deeply. He should tell her to get off - he was ready to explode already. But the ecstasy of it all fazed him. He hadn’t felt the insides of a girl for a long time, and it being with Hanna made it all the more pleasurable. Then she did the worst thing she could do in that second - move.
Desperately trying to hold back, he begged, “Get off, baby.”
She did in a hurry and though she’d been just in time, he knew they’d slipped. It wasn’t a complete miss. The blanket covered him as his entire body still pulsated. Harry leaned into her. “That was close.”
From then on, he’d have to carry protection, always. No matter how much he wanted to believe it would just be one time. There was no way he would say no to that feeling again. Not with Hanna.

I began to read this with Inès while we were waiting to go on the plane but we had to board and I didn't finish it!

By the way, the title of the story changed, right? I couldn't find it and I was sooo dumbfounded when I saw The Wanted fiction with the old title!

It took me time to understand xD
